Polyurethane RIM (Baydur)

Our products in Buydur, Rim, have an enormously good finish, at least as good as injection molded products. We are competitive in smaller volumes up to 3000-4000 pcs / year shot weights up to 15-20 kg. Then we are the best choice!

RIM baydur

Why Stiff Integral?

  • Much lower tool price than injection molding
  • RIM Baydur may comprise composites, such as glass fiber reinforced solid polyurethane
  • Combined with steel, or other plastic materials with properties intended for e.g. high strength under load
  • Different thicknesses within the same article
  • No settlements that you can get when you injection mold
  • Competitive in batches up to 3000 pcs / year
  • Withstands temperatures between about -40 ° C and +100 ° C
  • Resistant to oils, gasoline, solvents
  • You can put threads in the mould before casting, etc.
  • Baydur has a high resistance to impact, elongation
  • Hardness 80 shore D
  • Densities from 40 – 105 grams / liter
  • Product weights up to 15-20 kg

What is Baydur, RIM

A modern material that combines design freedom and functionality in perfect symbiosis. A polyurethane with impressive advantages such as different thicknesses within the same article competes with injection molding and vacuum forming, inexpensive tools, and high resistance to wear.

RIM is available in different mixtures.

Purtech110

Purpurtec 110 is a polyether-based rigid polyurethane (baydur) – an all-round material.
Density 1050 g / dm³.
Withstands temperatures above 100 degrees, thicknesses 3-8 mm.

– Available in 80 ° Shore D hardness.

Purtech 60

Purtech 60 is a polyether-based rigid polyurethane (baydur) – an all-round material.
Density between 550 g / dm³ and 650 g / dm³.
Withstands temperatures above 100 degrees, thicknesses 5-20 mm.

– Available in 80 ° Shore D hardness.

Purtech 40

Baydur

Polyurethanes are usually characterized by very good wear resistance, high elasticity, chemical resistance and oil resistance, resistance to both low and high temperatures, resistance to weather, wind and UV radiation, non-static, good insulation and sound-absorbing ability. Polyurethane elastomers have properties that in many cases correspond to and exceed rubber. Polyurethane is also very suitable for embedding sensitive electronics in exposed environments

We help customers with polyurethane solutions in very different industries, from the mining and concrete industry to rehabilitation, industrial products, offshore and public environments. By developing functional polyurethane inserts that help the customer to get a better end product that maintains high quality with desired properties such as. strength, insulation, shock absorption and elastic properties.
